Ethics and Transparency

As a research-focused biopharmaceuticals group, Chiesi is part of a large and diverse ecosystem that draws on the wider talents and skills of our stakeholders, to best serve our patients in respiratory health, rare diseases and specialty care.

We embed the highest level of respect, transparency, and ethical behaviour as a foundation for all our interactions with patients, healthcare professionals and partners.

Our ethical principles are integrated into our business through a set of compliance policies and procedures.

In particular:

SpeakUp&BeHeard

We have established a confidential reporting system - SpeakUp&BeHeard - to allow both Chiesi employees and non-employees to anonymously report any suspected breach of our Code of Conduct or violation of laws and regulations. Reporting is done through a web-based platform, independent of Chiesi's IT system.

Group Anti-Bribery Policy

We have an Anti-Bribery Policy, which lays out a set of rules and principles on how we prevent bribery and corruption, and how we will comply with anti-bribery rules and regulations.

Code of Interdependence

We have a Chiesi Code of Interdependence which details our commitment to social and environmental issues, and outlines the principles of sustainability which form the basis of our mission. This Code shares our mandatory requirements (i.e. the rules of conduct all Chiesi people and suppliers must follow when carrying out their activities) and improvement actions (i.e. actions that Chiesi and its suppliers will take to continuously improve the sustainability of their activities).

Code of Conduct

All rules of compliance for Chiesi are extensively detailed in the Chiesi Code of Conduct, which also spells out our commitment to create value for our patients, but also for their communities and for the planet.

We encourage all organisations in our ecosystem to help us build a better future, together.

Disclosure transfer value

As European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA) members, Chiesi is committed to clinical trial transparency. In the UK, clinical trials and non-interventional studies of marketed medicines are recorded as per the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry (ABPI) Code of Practice.

Chiesi collaborates with healthcare professionals, healthcare organisations and patient organisations who play a vital role and work tirelessly to promote patient needs.

We are committed to disclosing our financial relationships in the UK in line with the ABPI Code of Practice.
